The
programme commenced with a prayer led by Ms. Varshamol K, invoking God's
blessings for the successful conduct of the programme and the academic year
ahead.
The
orientation sessions were conducted by the following resource persons:
- Mrs. Vismaya P. M. provided an
orientation on academic works, institutional policies, and quality
assurance measures, explaining faculty responsibilities, academic
documentation, curriculum implementation, assessment procedures, and
quality initiatives aligned with NAAC and IQAC guidelines.
- Mrs. Chithira P. C. discussed
institutional procedures and best practices that support effective
teaching-learning processes and professional development.
- Dr. Jayakala M. and Mrs. Freny Mariya Joseph jointly oriented the faculty on academic planning, student support activities, co-curricular responsibilities, and institutional expectations regarding documentation, mentoring, and extension activities.
The
resource person, Ms. Vismaya P. M., Academic Coordinator and Assistant
Professor in General Education, delivered an insightful and informative session
on various aspects of academic administration. She elaborated on the
institutional academic framework, faculty responsibilities, curriculum
planning, lesson planning, course documentation, continuous internal
assessment, mentoring, and effective classroom practices. She also explained
the significance of adhering to academic policies, maintaining proper records,
and ensuring timely completion of academic activities.
A
major focus of the session was on Quality Assurance Measures, highlighting the
role of IQAC, NAAC quality indicators, outcome-based education, documentation,
evidence-based practices, feedback mechanisms, and continuous quality
improvement. The resource person emphasized that quality assurance is a
continuous process that requires the active involvement of every faculty member
to ensure academic excellence and institutional development.
The
interactive session provided opportunities for participants to clarify their
doubts regarding academic procedures, policy implementation, documentation, and
quality initiatives. The discussions helped faculty members gain a better
understanding of their responsibilities in achieving the institution's vision
of providing quality teacher education.
The
orientation session was led by Mrs. Chithira P. C., Vice-Principal and
Admission In-charge, who provided a comprehensive overview of the admission
procedures and student enrollment process for the academic year 2026–27. She
explained the eligibility criteria, admission schedule, online registration
process, document verification, reservation policies, merit list preparation,
fee collection procedures, enrollment formalities, and maintenance of admission
records. She also outlined the responsibilities of faculty members during
counseling, verification, and student support activities.
The
resource person emphasized the importance of ensuring transparent, efficient,
and student-friendly admission practices, while strictly adhering to
institutional policies and statutory regulations. She also discussed the
effective use of the KIRF admission portal, documentation requirements,
grievance redressal mechanisms, and strategies for providing timely assistance
to applicants throughout the admission process.
An
interactive discussion followed the presentation, during which faculty members
raised queries regarding admission guidelines, online enrollment procedures,
document verification, and student support services. The resource person
clarified the doubts and provided practical suggestions for handling admissions
efficiently while maint aining the highest standards of professionalism and
integrity.
The
orientation session was led by Dr. Jayakala M., Assistant Professor in Physical
Science, and Mrs. Freny Mariya Joseph, Assistant Professor in General
Education. The resource persons provided a comprehensive overview of the
college's examination system and explained the rules and regulations governing
internal and external examinations. They elaborated on examination schedules,
seating arrangements, attendance procedures, distribution and collection of
question papers and answer scripts, maintenance of confidentiality, and the
proper documentation required during examinations.
The
session also focused on assessment practices, covering the procedures for
Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE), preparation of question papers,
evaluation of answer scripts, moderation, grading, timely publication of
results, and maintenance of assessment records. The resource persons emphasized
the importance of adopting fair, objective, and outcome-based assessment
methods that promote transparency and enhance student learning.
A
significant part of the programme was devoted to invigilation duties. Faculty
members were oriented on their roles and responsibilities before, during, and
after examinations. Guidelines were provided regarding reporting time,
verification of student identity, ensuring discipline in the examination hall,
preventing malpractice, handling emergencies, preparing examination reports,
and submitting examination materials to the Examination Cell. The resource
persons also discussed the ethical responsibilities of invigilators and the
importance of maintaining confidentiality and impartiality throughout the
examination process.
The
session concluded with an interactive discussion during which faculty members
sought clarifications on examination regulations, assessment procedures, and
invigilation protocols. The resource persons addressed the queries and shared
practical suggestions for effectively managing examination-related
responsibilities.
The
Faculty Development Programme successfully enhanced the participants'
understanding of digital teaching tools and institutional academic procedures.
Faculty members gained practical exposure to technology-enabled teaching
strategies and acquired knowledge that would help improve classroom engagement,
assessment practices, and administrative efficiency. The programme also
promoted collaboration and encouraged continuous professional development among
educators.
The
two-day Faculty Development Programme was highly informative and beneficial. It
equipped faculty members with essential digital skills and reinforced the
importance of integrating technology into education. The active participation
of the faculty and the insightful sessions by the resource persons contributed
significantly to the success of the programme. The event concluded with a
renewed commitment to embracing innovative teaching practices and fostering
academic excellence.
The
programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Rejeesh Kumar K. K.,
who expressed sincere gratitude to the Principal, Administrative Officer, all
resource persons, faculty members, and the organizing committee for their
wholehearted support and active participation in making the programme a grand
