Report on Vanamahotsavam 2026
Mar Baselios College of Education, Sultan Bathery National Service Scheme (Unit No. 265), in association with the Forest Department, organized Vanamahotsavam on Sunday, 5 July 2026, with a series of environmental conservation activities.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri Ashraf DYRFO Vandikadav. An environmental awareness class was conducted under the leadership of Sri O. A. Babu. The event was coordinated by the NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr. Rejeesh Kumar.
The activities included plastic waste cleaning along both sides of the Chethalayam road, seed ball distribution/scattering, and an environmental awareness session. NSS volunteers actively participated alongside Forest Department officials, demonstrating their commitment to environmental protection and sustainable living. The programme enhanced participants’ awareness of forest conservation, biodiversity protection, and responsible waste management. The collaborative initiative successfully promoted the message of preserving nature for future generations.
