Mar
Baselios College of Education, Sulthan Bathery, organized a two-day Faculty
Development Programme (FDP) titled "Capacity Building Programme on Digital
Tools for Teachers" on 3rd and 4th June 2026 in the college auditorium.
The programme aimed to enhance the digital competencies of faculty members by
introducing innovative educational technologies and strengthening their
professional skills for effective teaching and learning.
Day
1 Proceedings (03 June 2026)
The
programme commenced at 1:30 PM with a prayer followed by the Welcome Address
delivered by Ms. Thusahara P. Paulose, Staff Secretary. The gathering was
formally inaugurated with the Presidential Address by Dr. Sunithkumar G. N.,
Principal, who emphasized the importance of integrating digital tools into
modern education.
Sr.
Sini Paul, Administrative Officer, delivered the felicitation and appreciated
the initiative taken by the institution to empower educators with technological
skills.
The
technical session on "Digital Tools for Teachers" was handled by Mrs.
Geena Koshy, Assistant Professor in General Education, the resource person for
the programme. She introduced participants to a variety of digital platforms
and applications that support interactive teaching, assessment, collaboration,
classroom management, and content creation. The session included practical
demonstrations and hands-on activities, enabling participants to experience the
effective use of digital tools in educational settings.
The
first day's programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. Freny
Mariya Joseph, Assistant Professor and Programme Convener, who expressed
gratitude to the management, principal, resource person, organizing committee,
and participants for their valuable support.
