The second Year Social Science B.Ed students celebrated the 'valakappu(Bangle ceremony/Baby Shower ceremony of their teacher Mrs.Tushara P Paulose(Assistant rofessor in General Education.

Valakappu Ceremony is a traditional South Indian ritual performed during pregnancy.

The ceremony typically involves adorning the expectant mother with bangles and blessings from family and friends, symbolizing protection, positive energy, and well-being for both the mother and the unborn child. It is a joyous occasion marked by music, rituals, and gifts, celebrating the transition into motherhood.

Mar Baselios College of Education conducted the Student Induction Program for second-year students with great enthusiasm and purpose. The program aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of their academic journey and familiarize them with key aspects of their curriculum.

The orientation sessions were thoughtfully designed to address various components of the course:

The program was well-received by the students, who actively participated and gained clarity on their academic roles and responsibilities. The sessions not only helped them align with the curriculum but also motivated them to approach their studies with renewed enthusiasm.

Feast Day Celebration of Rev. Msgr. Sebastian Keeppallil

Mar Baselios College of Education, Sulthan Bathery, joyously celebrated the Feast Day of Rev. Msgr. Sebastian Keeppallil with great devotion and enthusiasm. The event was a memorable occasion, marked by reverence and camaraderie among the college community.

The celebrations commenced with a solemn prayer, invoking blessings and expressing gratitude for the life and service of Rev. Msgr. Sebastian Keeppallil. This was followed by a ceremonial cake-cutting by Reverend Father Sebastian, symbolizing the spirit of togetherness and celebration.

After the cake-cutting ceremony, the teaching and non-teaching staff distributed the cake, creating an atmosphere of joy and fellowship. The event beautifully reflected the unity and shared values of the college, fostering a sense of belonging among all members of the institution.

The Feast Day celebration was a meaningful occasion that strengthened the bonds within the college community while honoring the exemplary life of Rev. Msgr. Sebastian Keeppallil.

Paulose, Assistant Professor of Social Science.
