Mar Baselios College of Education, Sulthan Bathery, in collaboration with IQAC, organized a Student Induction Programme for the newly admitted 2026–28 B.Ed. batch on 1 September 2026 at the college auditorium.
The session focused on the importance of research, community service and social commitment in teacher education. Dr. Rejeeshkumar K K explained the role of NSS in developing leadership, teamwork, empathy, social responsibility and community awareness among student teachers. He also emphasized that teaching is not limited to classroom instruction but involves active participation in addressing the needs of society.
The student teachers were given an opportunity to share their previous experiences in NSS, social service, volunteering and other community-oriented activities. Their sharing made the session interactive and helped them connect their previous experiences with their future role as responsible teachers.
The programme was successful in motivating the students to actively participate in NSS and extension activities and to begin their B.Ed. journey with a spirit of learning, service and social responsibility.
