The Convocation Ceremony of the B.Ed. Batch 2023–2025 of Mar
Baselios College of Education, Sulthan Bathery, was held with grandeur and
academic pride in the College Auditorium on 8 November 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
The function was graced by esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and
the graduating students.
The ceremony commenced with the Marching-in of the Graduates, who
entered the auditorium in an elegant procession accompanied by dignitaries and
faculty members. The solemn march symbolized the transition of the students
from learners to accomplished graduates ready to take up professional
responsibilities in the field of education.
The event began on a spiritual note with a prayer song rendered by the
Keerthana V. (2024-26 Batch) .
The Principal, Dr. Sunith Kumar G.N. delivered the Welcome
Address, extending warm greetings to the chief guests, dignitaries,
teachers, parents, and the graduating students. The principal highlighted the
academic achievements and campus life of the 2023–25 batch, appreciating their
dedication during the two-year programme.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Rt. Rev. Msgr.
Sebastian Keepallil, who congratulated the graduates and emphasized the
noble role of teachers in shaping society. He urged the new educators to uphold
values of integrity, compassion, and commitment in their professional journey.
This was followed by
the Lighting of the Lamp by all the esteemed dignitaries . The Convocation
Address was delivered by the Manager of MBCE, His Excellency Most Rev.
Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas. In his inspiring speech, he highlighted the changing
educational landscape and encouraged the graduates to become innovative,
empathetic, and socially responsible educators. He urged the graduates to become
Goal Oriented Teachers.
The most anticipated moment of the day was the Distribution of
Certificates to the graduating students. Special medals and honours
were awarded to students who excelled in academics, co-curricular activities,
and overall performance. The dignitaries congratulated each graduate as they
received their certificates.
The Principal administered the Graduation Oath. The graduates solemnly
pledged to uphold ethical standards, promote quality education, and serve
society with dedication and professionalism.
On behalf of the graduating batch, Mr. Kiran Reji(2023-25 Batch)
delivered the Reply Speech, expressing sincere gratitude to the
management, Principal, teachers, non-teaching staff, parents, and classmates. A
few other graduates Miss Avani Jesudas, Miss Aswathy also reflected on the experiences, learning,
and cherished moments that shaped their journey at MBCE.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. Geena Koshy, the Programme
coordinator, acknowledged the contribution of all dignitaries, staff members,
students, and parents in making the ceremony successful. Special thanks were
extended to the organizing committee for their efforts.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end
of the formal proceedings with a sense of pride and unity.A Photo Session
followed, capturing memorable moments of the graduates with their classmates,
teachers, and families. It served as a fitting finale to a day filled with
accomplishment and joy.
