NSS Celebrates National Constitution Day -Report

On 26th November 2024, NSS Unit No: 265 proudly commemorated National Constitution Day to honor the adoption of the Indian Constitution.

The program began with a solemn pledge-taking ceremony, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the values of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity as enshrined in the Constitution.

This event served as a reminder of our duties as responsible citizens and the importance of protecting the spirit of democracy in India.

NSS ARTS FEST was conducted in Farook Training College, Calicut on 22&23rd November 2024.
Mar Baselios College, Sulthan Bathery actively participated in various items.

 Gorisree Dileep (First Year student teacher won first prize in Kathaprasangam. 

 Hridya K. Anand (First Year) won second prize in Light music and third Prize in Mappilapattu.

Congratulations to the prize winners and to all the contestants who have participated in the program.

The PTA Executive Meeting for the academic year 2024-25 was held on 18th November 2024. 🌟

The PTA Executive meeting commenced with a silent prayer. Mrs. Chithira P.C.(PTA secretary-staff) welcomed the executive members. Sr. Sini Paul(Treasurer) presented the income-expenditure statement of the PTA fund which was approved by the PTA Executive members. The meeting was presided by Dr. Sunith Kumar G.N. (Principal) who has highlighted the college's activities so far. 

We were honored by the participation of:

Their valuable insights and contributions will help strengthen the bond between parents, teachers, and students for a successful academic journey.

DESCRIPTION: . The session began with the welcome speech by Fr. Allen Thomas(SS optional student).The webinar intended to explore and appreciate the richness of traditional Indian knowledge and its relevance in contemporary society. 

The Resource person, Dr. Jeny Rapheal,(AIHSS, Padoor, Thrissur)  delivered an inspiring talk on the core components of the Indian Knowledge System. She encouraged the student teachers to inspire their students to ask questions rather than expecting answers from them.The session also highlighted the ways to disseminate the Indian knowledge system in education.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Albert Devasssia(SS student)expressing gratitude to the speakers, participants, and organizers for making the webinar a success.

DESCRIPTION: A three-day workshop titled "Yoga - Cultivating Harmony Within and Without"  began  on the 16th November 2024.This workshop aimed at promoting inner balance and external harmony through the principles and practices of yoga. The student teachers are being given  practice in various yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques.  It provides inner peace and holistic harmony to the students.

DESCRIPTION: Mid-Internship Reflection session commenced at 10 am. One student teacher from each  internship school shared their experiences & the challenges that they have faced during the first term of internship.Tackling the students in the class was one of the major challenges faced by many student teachers.

Optional teachers also pointed out the things that they have noticed during their observation.
Guidelines for the second term of the internship was given by Mr. Rajeesh Kumar K.K(Assistant Professor in Commerce and the session was concluded.

DESCRIPTION: 

On 14th November 2024, NSS Unit No. 265 of Mar Baselios College of Education celebrated Children's Day by visiting an Anganwadi n Thoduvetti near Pattarupady, Sulthan Bathery. The teachers and non teaching staff warmly welcomed the student teachers. Study materials consisting of books and stationery were distributed to the children which brought smiles on their faces.The NSS volunteers interacted with the children and encouraged them to do drawing and colouring. The children completed their   pictures and by the time they became much closer with the  'big brothers and sisters'.Through such efforts, the NSS unit continues to make a positive impact, fostering a sense of community, care, and commitment in empowering the next generation.
