 ORIENTATION PROGRAMME ON “CERVICAL CANCER DETECTION AND PREVENTION”

Organiser: Department of Natural Science On Thursday, , Mar Baselios College of Education hosted an awareness programme on the topic “Cervical Cancer Detection and Prevention.” 

Objectives: 1.To empower individuals, especially women, with vital knowledge regarding cervical cancer, its causes, symptoms, and effective prevention strategies. 

2.To highlight the importance of the HPV vaccine. 

Program Highlights:

The program commenced at 2:00 PM and continued until 3:30 PM. 

Anagha C. M., the Student Convenor, warmly welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource persons.

Dr. Sunith Kumar G. N., Principal of the college, delivered the presidential address. 

 Smt. Asha P. L Assistant Professor Department of Natural Science, served as the Program Convener. The primary session was led by Dr. Priya, Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dr. Moopen’s Medical College, Meppadi, who provided an in depth and informative session on cervical cancer prevention and detection. Additionally, Mr. Sanoop, Senior Executive at Dr. Moopen’s Medical College, introduced the audience to the institution's various healthcare facilities and health schemes, further enriching the event. 

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Gouri Sree, a first-year Natural Science student. This version ensures clarity and a formal tone while incorporating all the key details.
