NSS SEVEN DAYS CAMP-DAY 6 26/12/2024
Report on the Sixth Day of NSS Camp
The sixth day of the NSS camp began with a vibrant Zumba session at 6:30 AM, led by Arathi, energizing all participants. This was followed by bed coffee served by the food committee at 7:00 AM.
After freshening up, the morning assembly commenced at 8:00 AM, conducted by the Lavender group. Arya served as the commander, Annamma shared an inspiring thought for the day, and Kavya and Ambili from Team Lotus presented the day's news. Aravind provided an outline of the day's activities, while Arathi shared details about the upcoming cultural events. Seema Miss reflected on the camp experience and extended her wishes, and Rajeesh Sir provided general instructions. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, followed by breakfast.
Preparation of a Vegetable Garden and School compound cleaning
The day’s main task focused on cleaning the school compound and preparing a vegetable garden. The program committee divided the volunteers into groups, assigning specific areas for cleaning. Volunteers cleaned the main entrance and surroundings with enthusiasm and teamwork, showcasing their dedication to the environment.
'Nattarang'
The afternoon session featured "Nattarang," an interactive session led by Haridas,with Denisha Teacher and Chithira Teacher also joining.
Reflections
At 7:00 PM, a reflection session was conducted, where volunteers shared their overall camp experiences, fostering a sense of camaraderie and gratitude.
Post-dinner, the cultural committee organized an engaging program that included a song and two dance performances by the volunteers. The day concluded on a warm and memorable note with a lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing unity and hope.

Yoga
The 5th day of our NSS camp began with an invigorating yoga session at 6:30 am, led by Rejeesh Sir and Haridas Sir. This refreshing start was followed by bed coffee provided by the food committee at 7:00 am. After freshening up, the morning assembly commenced at 8:00 am, organized by the Lotus group.
Shilpa served as the commander for the assembly, and Ashmila shared an inspiring thought for the day. Anjana and Arifa from Team Rose read the day’s newspaper headlines, and Anjana also gave a brief overview of the day’s planned activities. Arya provided insights into the cultural activities scheduled for the evening. Jayakala Miss and Vismaya Miss shared their experiences from the camp and conveyed their best wishes. Rejeesh Sir offered general instructions, and the assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
After the assembly, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
Visit to an 'Urali Unnathi'
Being Christmas, the NSS volunteers had planned a special visit to 'Urali Unnathi' in the Anappara Panchayat. We carried cakes and celebrated Christmas with the residents there. The celebration was marked by lively dances and songs, creating a joyful and heartwarming atmosphere.
Treasure Hunt
At 1:00 pm, we relished a sumptuous biryani lunch. After lunch, Team Lotus organized a thrilling treasure hunt at 3:00 pm. The activity was highly engaging and enjoyable, showcasing the creativity and teamwork of the participants.
Ayurvedic Awareness & Consultation
From 4 -5 pm, people from the village came to the school compound to get an ayurvedic medical advice from Dr. Haridas K.U.(Assistant Professor in performing Arts) an ayurvedic practitioner.Health advices and awarenesss were given to the people.
Christmas Celebrations
In the evening, the cultural committee arranged vibrant cultural activities at 6:00 pm. Highlights of the evening included a carol song competition and a Santa Claus competition, which brought festive cheer to everyone. All the NSS volunteers actively participated and thoroughly enjoyed the festivities.
Adding to the excitement, Rejeesh Sir surprised us with a spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the night sky and filling the air with wonder and joy.
The day, filled with fun, laughter, and togetherness, concluded with a hearty dinner. It was truly a memorable experience that strengthened the bonds among the NSS volunteers and spread the spirit of celebration and unity.

Report on the Fourth Day of NSS Camp (24/12/2024)
Yoga Session
The fourth day of the NSS Camp(24/12/2024) commenced with a rejuvenating yoga session at 7:30 AM, setting a positive tone for the day. This was followed by bed coffee and a fresh-up routine.
Morning Assembly
The morning assembly began at 8:30 AM, led by the group "Rose." Anjana P. served as the commander of the assembly, while Arifa presented the thought for the day. Twigtha and Minsha delivered the news updates for the day. The program coordinator oriented the volunteers with general instructions for the day’s activities, and Geena Miss shared her experiences and felicitations. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, and breakfast was served promptly afterward.
Awareness on E-Health Kerala App
The first activity of the day began at 10:00 AM with an informative session on the website “e-Health Kerala” conducted by Sahad Ali. He explained the significance of the website in the digital era, demonstrating how to register, log in, and utilize its features effectively. He also addressed volunteers’ queries and guided them on introducing the website to the local community. Following this session, some volunteers visited nearby homes to create awareness about the website, while others stayed back to beautify the campus and prepare lunch.

The afternoon session began at 2:30 PM with a legal literacy class led by Advocate Prasanna, accompanied by her assistants, Mrs. Shiny and Ms. Harsha. She provided an insightful orientation on the fundamentals of law, the consequences of violating it, and the crucial role of teachers in educating students about legal awareness. The class concluded at 4:00 PM.
Anti-Drug Awareness Programme, Flash Mob, Chulliyode Town
A flash mob was organized at Chulliyode bus stand to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and alcohol consumption. This was followed by an official meeting where the chief guest was welcomed and shared valuable insights.

Conclusion of the Day
The day concluded with some Christian volunteers attending the Christmas Holy Mass at the local church. After dinner, the fourth day of the NSS Camp officially came to an end, leaving participants enriched with knowledge and experiences.
